The Chassis

As shown in the photos the chassis is a little worse for wear. Rust has appeared so a decision has to be made. Just clean it up best as possible leaving the exposed metal showing when rust removed or to repaint it. 

The issue when repainting is the legends. I believe the original markings  would have been screen printed onto the surface. Which ever repainting process is used these will be obliterated and I will need to find a method to reproduce them.

As this is a renovation rather than restoration I have decided that the best course of action is to have the chassis and transformer cans powder coated.
